de KD4HLV, Marty Ernst. I hold a General Class Amateur Radio License. I enjoy HF, VHF/UHF RTTY and Packet and Computers. Packet and RTTY are forms of computer communications, they use series of audio tones to relay data over radio from computer to computer. I also do this when I go camping with the use of a generator/batterys laptop computer and my JEEP.

I have been learning to use Linux. (Taken From Linux Online) Linux is a free Unix-type operating system  originally created by Linus Torvalds with the assistance of developers around the world. Linux is an independent POSIX implementation and includes true multitasking, virtual memory, shared libraries, demand loading, proper memory management, TCP/IP networking, and other  features consistent with Unix-type systems. Developed under the GNU General Public  License, the source code for Linux is freely available to everyone.

I'm ARRL Technical Specialist for Georgia Section. A Life Member of the ARRL also ARRL and W5YI Volunteer Examiner. Assistant Working with a couple Radio Merit Badge for the Scouts in the area. I am looking forward to working with hams in the area. Stay tuned for up coming events to help with your project needs.

I monitor my Allstar link node when I'm home, so if you'd like to chat hookup to 28523 & 28525 Echolink.

Happy Hamming!!
